About Al-Sondos

The Foundation’s Journey

“The Al-Sondos Foundation illuminated the lives of orphaned children with special needs for the first time in 2003, under the supervision of Dr. Amal Abdel Rahman (Chairperson of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees), through the establishment of Dar Al-Sondos. Following the remarkable success of Dar Al-Sondos (the first branch), the main headquarters, in providing specialized services, the second branch, Dar Al-Firdous, was established in Nasr City, and the third branch in Heliopolis. The Foundation’s largest and most expansive complex was built in New Cairo (Fifth Settlement) to accommodate a larger number of children. Due to the urgent need for a specialized educational institution for children with special needs, the Foundation established the first school dedicated to this purpose.”
